Vinedos Verticales Rocalima

Rocalima is a single-varietal Doradilla, an almost-vanished Málaga grape grown on the only plot of this variety in the Axarquía, on steep black-phyllite slopes at 600m. Hand-harvested and carried down by mule, spontaneously fermented on skins, then aged 5 months in concrete and a further 10 months in two old chestnut cones. Amber-coloured, reminiscent of an oxidative Jerez wine on the nose but lighter and unfortified on the palate, with balanced acidity.
