Torres Acosta Versante Nord Rosso

Eduardo Torres Acosta, originally from Tenerife, settled on the cooler north-facing slopes of Mount Etna after working with Arianna Occhipinti and as enologist at Passopisciaro. Versante Nord Rosso is his main red, sourced from old, mixed-planted alberello vines across several contrade between 550-950m, mainly Nerello Mascalese with Nerello Cappuccio and other native reds. Hand-harvested, co-fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in concrete with no temperature control. A deeply volcanic wine, with stony, savoury grip and wild berry fruit.
