Versante Est is Eduardo Torres Acosta's Carricante from the eastern side of Etna - the label reads 'Terre Siciliane 2024 Carricante'. Carricante is Etna's great white grape, and the eastern slope its historic heartland. Made with Eduardo's minimal-intervention approach: hand harvest, native yeasts, no temperature control. Taut, saline and citrus-driven, with the smoky volcanic minerality of high-altitude Etna whites, at a moderate 11.5% alcohol.
