Milton is named for the protagonist of Beppe Fenoglio's partisan novel 'Una questione privata' - a man absorbed in his mission yet haunted by thoughts of the woman he loves. Made from a simultaneous late-August harvest of Merlot (60%), Sangiovese (35%) and Trebbiano Spoletino (5%), pressed directly without skin contact and fermented in steel with native yeasts, no added sulphur, no temperature control, no filtration. Aged on its own lees through the winter before bottling. Fragrant, fresh and tasty - a rosato built on Marco Durante's uncompromising, additive-free philosophy.
