Husband-and-wife team Andrea Balducci and Lucia Ziniti farm six hectares of yellow-sand-and-clay hillside near Faenza, growing only native Romagnolo varieties - Albana, Sangiovese, Malvasia Aromatica, Trebbiano and the rare Centesimino. Cacciabruco blends Malvasia, Trebbiano and Albana, with the Malvasia given about eight days of skin contact, aged six months in steel. Tangerine, stone fruit and wildflowers on the nose, with a sea-salt minerality from the breezes off the nearby Adriatic.
