Orly Lumbreras Los Besos

Orlando ('Orly') Lumbreras, a former radio sound engineer, adopts abandoned and near-forgotten bush vines on granite soils at up to 1,100m altitude in the wild, outer reaches of the Alto Alberche in the Sierra de Gredos. Los Besos Que Te Robé ('the kisses I stole') is whole-bunch, hand-picked Garnacha fermented uncrushed for a carbonic semi-maceration, aged half in steel and half in used oak. Silky on the palate, with a long, dark-fruited finish that reflects the high-altitude granite terroir.
