Petr Marada, a champion of Moravian folk cymbal music as much as winemaking, farms 6.5 hectares organically around Mikulčice near Hodonín, in southern Moravia. Hibernal is a cold-resistant white crossing (Seibel x Riesling) increasingly favoured by Moravian growers for its hardiness and aromatic intensity. Marada blends modern winemaking know-how with traditional methods; this gold-medal-winning bottling shows crisp, expressive varietal character true to the cooler Moravian climate.
