Manca Li Sureddi Rosso

Li Sureddi Rosso is made from pure Retagliadu Nieddu, a local, low-yielding clone of Cannonau first documented by ampelographer Sante Cettolini in the early 20th century, named for the many cuts ('ritagli') needed to harvest its small, scattered bunches. Grown on 80-year-old alberello vines on Romangia's limestone and marl soils. A dense, deeply Mediterranean red, traditionally made slightly off-dry, with warm fruit, dried fruit and liqueur-cherry notes, balanced by a fresh, saline, faintly vegetal finish.
