Frisach Les Alifares

Les Alifares is Celler Frisach's prized skin-fermented white, made from 65-year-old bush-trained Vernatxa Gris (Grenache Gris) - one of the rarest grapes in Terra Alta - from a single vineyard called 'Lo Mas del Surdo' on petrified sand-dune (panal) soils at 450m. As winemaker Francesc Ferré puts it: 'fermented with skins and nothing else.' Certified organic, with real depth, texture and ageing potential, named for the intricate clockwork imagery (gears, feather, time) that appears on its label.
