Chona's Marani Saperavi

Saperavi is Georgia's flagship red grape, a teinturier variety with deeply coloured flesh as well as skin. Chona's Marani sources its Saperavi from growers in Napareuli and Mukuzani, fermenting in qvevri according to traditional Kakhetian technique. Deep, almost opaque purple-red colour, with dark fruit, damson and a savoury, structured palate carried by firm tannins - a serious red built to age, true to the ancient winemaking culture of the Alazani Valley.
