Chona's Marani Chinuri Rkatsiteli

An amber qvevri wine from Chona's Marani in Telavi, made from Rkatsiteli - one of Georgia's most important and ancient white varieties - grown on the family's organically farmed Tsinandali vineyard. Fermented on skins in clay qvevri buried in the ground, the wine develops a rich, structured character with notes of dried apricot, thyme and a hint of sour apple. Bottled with minimal sulphites (under 35 mg/L), in the traditional Kakhetian style that has made the family's wines known internationally, including in Michelin-starred restaurants.
