Castellina Fufluns 22

Fufluns is named after the Etruscan god of wine, joy, health and growth (akin to Greek Dionysus or Roman Bacchus), a fitting tribute given the Etruscan history of the Montalbano hills. Pure Vermentino, macerated without stems for six months in terracotta amphorae (Tava), then rested 8 months on fine lees with a further 2 months in bottle. An orange wine of real personality, with the texture and savoury depth that amphora ageing brings to this otherwise crisp coastal variety.
