Gutturnio is the historic red of Piacenza, named after an ancient Roman silver wine vessel, and was among the first ten Italian wines to receive DOC status, in 1967. Bulli's frizzante version blends Barbera and Croatina (locally called Bonarda), naturally refermented in bottle without added sulfites. Vivid ruby red with a lively, foamy mousse; vinous and fruit-forward on the nose, dry and pleasantly rustic on the palate. An everyday natural sparkling red from a family estate that has farmed the Bacedasco hills for generations.
- Region: Colli Piacentini DOC, Emilia-Romagna, Italy
- Grapes: Barbera, Croatina (Bonarda)
- ABV: 12%
- Style: Red - Sparkling (Frizzante)
