Barraco Catarratto 24

Nino Barraco farms 10+ hectares around Marsala, in the Stagnone lagoon area of western Sicily, reviving native varieties once destined mostly for Marsala fortified wine. This single-varietal Catarratto undergoes a brief skin maceration (around 4 days), spontaneous fermentation at uncontrolled temperature, and ageing in steel with no filtration or stabilisation before bottling. Bright golden-straw colour; floral and fruity on the nose, with a citrussy, persistent finish - a precise, saline expression of this historic Trapani grape.
