Augalevada Ollos Tinto

Iago Garrido founded Augalevada on the historic Riobó estate, the first biodynamic-certified (Demeter) winery in the history of the Ribeiro. Ollos de Maia is the fresh, vibrant red made from his own decomposed-granite ('xabre') vineyard, blending Caíño Longo, Brancellao and Caíño da Terra. Hand-harvested, 70% destemmed by hand, spontaneously fermented with 30-40 days of maceration, then aged 10 months in 500-600L French oak barrels, unfiltered and without added sulphites. Garnet red with violet hues; forest fruit, spice and mineral notes.
